Internal Error, please report back to..??

Postby royski45 » Tue 27. Jan 2015, 13:23

I recently installed Basic4Qt at the root system level (C:\Basic4Qt).

I have a recently new HP desktop running win 8.1 (64/32/bit OS).

Ran the supplied tutorial and got the following error messagebox.
---------------------------
Error
---------------------------
syntax error or parser error - c:/compilers/basic4qt/qtsdk/mingw/bin/../lib/gcc/mingw32/4.4.0/../../../../mingw32/bin/ld.exe: cannot find -lqtmaind
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
mingw32-make[1]: *** ["debug/My] Error 1
mingw32-make: *** [debug] Error 2
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I searched the C:\Basic4Qt folder for the reported above missing file or folder "lqtmaind*.*" with nothing found.

Basically, I am dead in the water.

Sorry, forgot to ask this basic question...

I would expect to be entering links to either or both Qt an mingw in my System PATH, please clarify and if needed, inform me what to load into Sys PATH.

Hi,

Your problem is the searchpath, it is c:/compilers/basic4qt/qtsdk/mingw/bin/..
Should be c:/basic4qt/qtsdk/mingw/bin/..
So it can't find ld.exe.
Not sure why, could be some W8 issue...
After Bernd put up the new forum, all old posts are gone. I'm sure there was a fix there.

Try email him your problem.
